No. 14/15 Quinnipiac Uses Another Third-Period Rally to Best RPI

Bobcats Scored Eight Goals Across Final Frames This Weekend
TROY, N.Y. — Another third period onslaught powered the No. 14/15 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program to victory on Saturday night, as the squad scored four in the final 20 minutes to ice away RPI by a 6-2 final at the Houston Field House.
Captain Travis Treloar scored the game-winner on a five-on-three power play at the 4:22 mark of the third and the run began.
Chris Pelosi and Tyler Borgula each added a tally 21 seconds apart at the midway point of the frame and Jack Ricketts iced the game away with an empty-netter with 7:12 to play.
Matej Marinov made 33 saves in net on RPI's 35 shots on goal.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats return home for their annual Mayors' Hat and Senior Weekend series with Yale and Brown at M&T Bank Arena. Both games are slated for 7 p.m. puck drops and can be seen live on ESPN+.
The Bobcats currently sit four points ahead of Clarkson in the ECAC standings with four games to play.

- Wilmer matched the most assists by a Bobcat skater this season with a trio of helpers tonight. He also had that many last night, along with first year Chris Pelosi.
- It is the third time this season that Wilmer has recorded three assists in a game.
- Matej Marinov recorded his first collegiate point, being the primary assist to Jack Ricketts' empty-net tally.
- Borgula has recorded a point in four consecutive games, recording a pair of goals and two assists in his last four outings.
