Quinnipiac Welcomes Colgate for Saturday Matinee

HAMDEN, Conn. — Fresh off a historic victory to open the 2025 campaign, the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program welcomes Colgate to Hamden for an 11 a.m. first draw on Saturday.
The Bobcats are coming off a 21-2 victory over Central Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon, the second-largest margin of victory in the program's Division I history. They also scored their most goals in a contest since 2017 in the win with 13 different players finding the net.
THE MATCHUP
Teams: Quinnipiac (1-0) vs. Colgate (2-0)

LAST TIME OUT: vs. Central Connecticut
Quinnipiac used an 11-goal first quarter to jump out early and run away from the Blue Devils on Wednesday afternoon. Both Abby Wise and EllaGrace Delmond each recorded four point nights, with the Delmond sisters each potting a hat trick.
In the cage, all three goalies made appearances, making three saves on five total CCSU shots on cage.
SCORING BALANCE
13 different players found the net for the Bobcats on Saturday and two other players recorded an assist for a total of 15 field players to find the scoresheet. This also featured the first collegiate goals of Megan Felker, Kendall Lee, Anna Givens, Sophia Prouty, Katherine Meeks, Graham Straface, Emma Miller-Ayala and Kendall VanMeveren.
THE MATCHUP vs. COLGATE
This will be the first matchup since 2008 between the two schools and the third meeting overall. Colgate has won each of the last two, taking the win 17 years ago by a 16-13 final in Hamden. Quinnipiac's last matchup with a Patriot League school was in 2023, when they dispatched of Holy Cross by a 15-8 final.
