Quinnipiac Scores Game's First Nine Goals en route to rout
HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team opened the 2025 season with a bang, defeating Central Connecticut 21-2 in its curtain-raiser to start the season with a dominant victory.
EllaGrace Delmond and Abby Wise both led the way offensively, recording four points while Kendall Lee and Mia Delmond each finished the day with three points.
Emma Miller-Ayala had a balanced effort across the stat sheets, finishing with two points, three ground balls, three caused turnovers and a pair of draw controls.

Quinnipiac returns home for the second of five consecutive home contests, taking on Colgate on Feb. 15 at Noon in Hamden, Conn.

STATS AND NOTES
- The 21 goals are tied for the fourth-most by a Women's Division I team this season, behind North Carolina, Northwestern and Holy Cross.
- It is also the most goals scored since April 2017, when they also poured in 21 against LIU.
- The two goals are the fewest allowed since a 15-2 win at Saint Francis in March 2007.
- The 19-goal victory is the largest margin of victory since March 2002 when they defeated Binghamton by 23.
- Eight different Bobcats recorded their first collegiate points today: Kendall Lee, Emma Miller-Ayala, Graham Straface, Anna Givens, Megan Felker, Kendall VanMeveren, Sophia Prouty and Katherine Meeks.
- Wise finished with three assists on the day, one off her collegiate best of four she set last season.
- Mia Delmond recorded her seventh colleigate hat trick in the win.
- Shannon Alden made her collegiate debut, making saves on two of three shots on her cage in 30 minutes.
