Bobcats Finish Ninth as Team at Blue Hen Invitational
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Quinnipiac junior Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) and senior Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) both finished inside the top-20 at the Blue Hen Invitational, the final event of the fall season for the Bobcats. After shooting QU's lowest round of the season in round two, Sahzin posted a final round 80 (+9) to claim a tie for 13th place in the individual standings. Tobia-Palza shot an 81 (+10) in the final 18 holes and earned a T19 finish.
As a team, Quinnipiac ninth of 12 teams with a team score of +74, just one shot behind James Madison for eighth place and four shots behind Bucknell for seventh.

- As a team, the Bobcats finished with 25 birdies on the weekend, good for the fifth-most in the tournament.
- Sazhin finished tied for sixth overall in par-3 scoring (+1) and tied for fourth overall with eight birdies over the three rounds.
- Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) shot her two best rounds of the season on Day One with a 74 (+3) in the first round before besting that round by a stroke with a 73 (+2) in the second round. The senior was one of three Bobcats with at least five birdies this weekend.
- Queenie Lai (Hong Kong, China) was tied for 30th through the first two rounds after carding a 75 (+4) in round one and 76 (+5) in round two. Lai moved up a spot in the final round after solid 80 (+9) left her in a tie for 29th.
- Elena Ybarra (Madrid, Spain) sat at +18 after two rounds of play as she bounced back in round two with a 77 (+6) after shooting 83 (+12) in the first round. An 86 (+15) saw her finish in 60th place on the weekend.
- Casey Oppenheimer (Conshohocken, Pennsylvania) finished at +38 for the tournament, but was tied for 19th in birdies with five on the weekend.
- Darby Lillibridge (Geneva, Illinois) was slated as the Bobcats individual golfer and shot a +16 through 36 holes, posting an 80 (+9) through the first 18 holes before a 78 (+7) in the second round. She finished the weekend at +37, after a 92 (+21) in the final round.
