Bobcats Finish Strong at Nittany Lion Invitational

State College, Pennsylvania - The Quinnipiac women's golf team closed out their first tournament of the fall season in 8th place out of 16 teams in the Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State.
Samantha Galantini finished the Invitational strong as she carded an even par round on the final day of competition. Marisa Flores had the second-best final round of all the Bobcats as she shot a 74 (+2) in the final 18 holes of the Nittany Lion Invitational.
Sophia Fujita continued her strong start to the fall campaign as she shot a 75 (+3) to close out play. Fujita eagled on the third hole, being one of just two players in the entire field to record an eagle.
Tekla Fine-Lease and Michelle Wong rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping and shot a 79 (+7) and an 80 (+8), respectively.
As a team, the Bobcats had the seventh-best score in the first and third rounds of play.

- Sophia Fujita finished the Invitational with a three-round score of 219 (+3) and finished in a tie for 7th place. Fujita was one of two golfers in the entire field to record an eagle, recording one on Hole 3 in the final round.
- Marisa Flores wrapped up play with a three-round total of 223 (+7), finishing in a five-way tie for 23rd place.
- Samantha Galantini tied for the fifth-best score in the final round, shooting par on the final 18 holes in the tournament.
- Quinnipiac finished seventh among a competitive field of 16 teams with 26 birdies as a team.
