Bobcats Junior Records Season Best Six Birdies in Strong Tuesday Showing

SEEKONK, Mass. - Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) scored the Bobcats' best score of 2018 with a 71(-1) in the final round of the Brown Bear Invitational Monday afternoon. Sazhin struck for six birdies, also a season best, en route to helping the Bobcats to a second place finish with a team score of +28 (604).

Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) shined for the Bobcats as the junior recorded the lowest score in a single round this season with a 71 (-1). She struck for a season-high six birdies, including four in the opening nine holes of play to move up eight spots and finish tied for fourth overall in the tournament
Queenie Lai's (Hong Kong, China) 72 scored a 78 (+6) in round two to finish tied for 13th following an even-par 72 Monday in the first round of the tournament.
Elena Ybarra (Madrid, Spain) tied for 21st after she scored four birdies on her way to an even par round of 72 in the second round of competition. The four birdies and the 72 stand tied with Lai for the second best on the team in a single round this season.
Elena Lopez (Clarence, New York) shot a solid 80 (+8) in the final round of the Brown Bear Invitational. She scored one birdie on the back nine on the Par-5 17th hole. The freshman finished tied for 33rd.
Amanda Tully (Brewster, New York) shot an 85 (+13) in the final round of play in the Brown Bear Invitational, tied for 65th.
Darby Lillibridge (Geneva, Illinois) competed as the Bobcats' individual golfer and scored a 80 (+8). She finished tied for 38th.

UPCOMING EVENT
Quinnipiac travels to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for the University of Delaware Invite in the upcoming week. The tournament runs from October 21st to October 22nd.
