Personal:
- Born and raised in Jenkintown, Pa.
- Daughter of Austin and Trish Meehan
- Has three older siblings including two brothers Austin and Wesley as well as one sister Alyssa
- Plans to major in Communications
- Played a role in helping organize a new community service initiative in Jenkintown brought about by a crazy sports sequence in her senior year of field hockey
- During the 2013-14 field hockey season, Gwynedd Mercy advanced to the state semifinals for the first time in over 10 years
- At the beginning of the second half, there were clock issues because of the weather and the clock operator took off seven minutes of game time instead of adding seven seconds
- Instead of adding time back on, the coaching staff and administration of Gwynedd Mercy were denied their request
- The opposition went on to win the game, 2-0, and send the field hockey seniors and Jenkintown community home severely disappointed
- After months pleading for an apology, the PIAA Field Hockey Association adopted a new rule that required a backup clock on the scorer’s table and for the referees to keep time themselves
- As a way in which to remember the season, rather than the disappointment, Meehan helped organize a plan to feed seven families Christmas meals
- The entire town gained interest and in the end many more families were fed during the holidays
