As a Senior in 2016:
Played in 15 games (including 14 starts) on Quinnipiac's close defense ... Totaled 24 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls ... Caused at least one turnover in 13 of the 15 games he played in ... Had three caused turnovers and four ground balls against NJIT (3/5) ... Had two caused turnovers and three ground balls against Marquette (3/19) ... Matched his career high with three caused turnovers on his Senior Day against Manhattan (4/30) ... Helped the Bobcats to the top-ranked defense in the MAAC in conference games at only 5.67 goals per game, almost two goals better than second-place Marist.
As a Junior in 2015:
Appeared in five games for the Bobcats ... Caused two turnovers, one against Detroit (3/30) and the other against Manhattan (4/4), when he also had a ground ball.
As a Sophomore in 2014:
Appeared in one game for the Bobcats … Saw action in the team’s 16-9 win over Providence (3/1).
Before Quinnipiac:
Played his freshman season at Marist ... Attended Manhasset High School, where he was coached by Bill Cherry … Helped the team to a perfect 20-0 record and a New York State Championship in 2010 … Named to the All-County Lacrosse Team in 2010 … Also a member of the football and ice hockey teams at Manhasset.
Personal:
The son of Elaine and Tom … Majoring in communications at Quinnipiac … His father, Tom, played ice hockey at Merrimack College, and his Grandfather, J. Thom Lawler, played ice hockey at St. Lawrence … J. Thom Lawler was the hockey coach and athletic director at Merrimack, where Lawler Rink is named after him.
