Bio
As a Junior in 2024-25
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 7.7 PPG with Miami University during his first two collegiate seasons. He was named to the All-MAC Freshman squad after averaging 8.4 PPG (37 3FG) in 2022-23. Mabrey played in all 32 games that season, making 26 starts. He scored a career-high 16 points against Eastern Michigan on 1/28/24, and logged a career-best mark of 44 minutes at Northern Illinois on 2/18/24.
Mabrey then posted 6.8 PPG on 38.2% shooting in 2023-24. He played in 26 total contests and knocked down 37 triples. Mabrey posted 15 points at Ball State on 1/20/24. He registered double-digit point totals 11 different times, including a span of five straight in late December/early January. He shot 35.9% from 3-point distance, making 37 total triples on the season.
Prior to his time with the RedHawks, Mabrey played at nationally-ranked La Lumiere School. He averaged 9.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists as a senior.
Ryan comes from a basketball family and is the youngest of five siblings. All three of his sisters (Dara, Marina, Michaela) played collegiate basketball at Notre Dame. Marina went on to play for the Chicago Sky of the WNBA, Michaela is now an assistant coach at Notre Dame, and Dara plans to play professionally this fall. Mabrey's oldest brother, Roy, played basketball at St Anselm's.
