GOALS, GOALS, GOALS
- The Bobcats have been consistently finding the back of the net when the calendar turns to the NCAA Tournament, the best in the country since the tournament came back during the 2020-21 season.
- Quinnipiac has scored three or more goals in all nine of its tournament games since then, the most of any team in the country. Only them and Minnesota have more than five such outings.
- Overall, the Bobcats have scored 36 goals in that span, the third-most tallies in the country. Minnesota (42) and Michigan (38) are the only teams with more.
TOURNEY TIME
- The streak continues, as the Bobcats head to a sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament, the longest active streak in the country.
- They have won four straight Regional Semifinals matchups, dating back to the 2021-22 season. This includes winning the National Championship during the 2022-23 season.
- Since the program's first Frozen Four trip in 2012-13, they have the third-most NCAA Tournament wins in the country with 13. They are 13-8 during that span.
TWO-WAY PLAYER
- Grad student forward Jack Ricketts has made a substantial impact on both ends of the ice in his one and only year in Hamden, leading the Bobcats in goals and is also third on the team and leads the forwards in blocked shots.
- The latter earned him the Best Defensive Forward accolade at the 2025 ECAC Hockey Championship awards ceremony, held Thursday night at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid.
- He became the third consecutive Bobcat to win the award, joining Jacob Quillan in 2023-24 and Skyler Brind'Amour in 2022-23. He was also selected to the All-ECAC Second Team, which was announced the week before the quarterfinals.
WHEN THE BONES ARE GOOD...
- Sophomore forward Andon Cerbone rides an nine-game points streak heading into the NCAA Tournament, the longest streak of his collegiate career and longest active stretch on the team.
- Totaling ten over the streak that began Feb. 14 at Union, it is the tied for the longest streak on the team this season, joining Mason Marcellus' nine-game point heater from Nov. 16 to Jan. 1.
- He enters the tournament as one of three skaters in the field with a nine-game stretch or better, joining Western Michigan's Tim Washe and Boston College's Ryan Leonard.
STRIVED FOR FIVE
- For the fifth consecutive season, the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team is the regular season champions of the ECAC, clinching it with a win over St. Lawrence on Saturday night.
- The Bobcats are the first team in league history to win five consecutive trophies and have won nine regular season championships in 12 years.
