Quinnipiac, No. 4/5 Yale Set for In-State Clash

HAMDEN, Conn. — Off to a 2-0 start for the third time in its program history and the first time since 2022, the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team welcomes No. 4/5 Yale to Hamden for a 2 p.m. first draw.
The teams meet for the fourth consecutive year and it will be the third of five consecutive Bobcat home games to begin the 2025 campaign.

Teams: Quinnipiac (2-0) vs. No. 4/5 Yale (1-0)

LAST TIME OUT: vs. Colgate
Quinnipiac scored six of the first seven goals of the afternoon and held off an unbeaten Colgate squad that would not go away, defeating the Raiders by a 13-9 final in Hamden, Conn. on Saturday afternoon.
Cate Bendowski recorded a career-best four goals and first-year netminder Shannon Alden recorded 15 saves on 24 shots on her cage, anchoring the Bobcat defense.
DOING A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING
Emma Miller-Ayala stuffed the stat sheet in a variety of categories on Saturday afternoon, earning MAAC Rookie of the Week honors in the process. She finished the weekend with three goals, four points, four ground balls, four caused turnovers and three draw controls en route to the honor.
SCORING BALANCE
13 different players found the net for the Bobcats on Wednesday afternoon against CCSU and two other players recorded an assist for a total of 15 field players to find the scoresheet. This also featured the first collegiate goals of Megan Felker, Kendall Lee, Anna Givens, Sophia Prouty, Katherine Meeks, Graham Straface, Emma Miller-Ayala and Kendall VanMeveren.
THE MATCHUP vs. YALE
This will be the fourth consecutive matchup between the two schools and 11th overall in a series that dates back to 2013. Yale has taken all 10 matchups with the Bobcats, with the last matchup in Hamden resulting in a 14-5 Bulldogs victory.
