SHARING IS CARING
- Sophomore Mason Marcellus is already on a career pace in assists this season, dishing 23 in his first 28 games of the year, one better than his output last season.
- He also sits second in the ECAC and sixth in the country in assists per game and currently is four helpers outside of the top 20 in program history for assists in a single season.
POWERFUL PLAYS
- The Bobcat Power Play has been firing on all cylinders this season, currently converting on a 28.0 percent clip, the third-best in the nation and the best in the ECAC.
- Since the tracking began in the 2002-03 season, the Bobcats have only had one better percentage, converting on 28.7 percent of man-advantages.
- They have scored on 26 of 93 opportunities this season.
HAT TRICKETTS STRIKES AGAIN
- For the second time this season, grad student Jack Ricketts recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals in the Bobcats' come-from-behind, 5-4, victory over Dartmouth last Friday night in Hanover.
- The Bobcats erased a pair of deficits and took the extra point in overtime against the Big Green, earning a split of the season series and keeping Rand Pecknold's club in first as they head to February.
- Ricketts is the one of four skaters nationally to have multiple hat tricks this season.
AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME
- As the calendar turns to February, a tight ECAC race is underway with the Bobcats leading the way with eight games to go.
- Quinnipiac enters the weekend with a one-point advantage over Colgate and three-point lead over Union as they chase their fifth consecutive Cleary Cup as the league's regular season champion.
- In the national landscape, the Bobcats currently sit No. 15 in the Pairwise, looking for an NCAA Tournament bid for the sixth consecutive season. They are the lone ECAC team inside the Top 16 and their strongest Pairwise opponent left on the schedule is Clarkson, who currently sits
- at No. 25.
ALL NATURAL
- A feat that had not been achieved by a Bobcat since the 2014-15 season, Quinnipiac has recorded a pair of natural hat tricks this season, thanks to Jack Ricketts and Andon Cerbone.
- Ricketts ripped off a four-goal game against Stonehill in which he scored three in a row and then Cerbone followed that up by turning a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 lead against Colgate en route to a 6-3 victory.
- They are one of five teams in the country to have two hat tricks this season.
