Bobcats Tie for Third at Quinnipiac Classic

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team competed in the final round of the Quinnipiac Classic on Tuesday afternoon at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Connecticut. Quinnipiac's grouping of Samantha Galantini, Sophia Fujita, Marisa Flores, Natalie Spiska, and Alexia Egdahl finished in a tie for 3rd place of 11 teams.
Samantha Galantini and Sophia Fujita finished in a tie for 5th place overall (+11, 227) to wrap up the Quinnipiac Classic. Galantini shot a 75 (+3) in the final 18 holes and Fujita carded a 73 (+1).
Natalie Spiska shot a 78 (+6) on the final 18 holes to give herself a three-round total of 236 (+20) to finish in a tie for 16th place.
Marisa Flores finished one stroke behind Spiska with a two-day total of 237 (+21) and a tie for 20th place finish.
First-year Vaidehi Shah had her best round of the tournament on the final day as she shot a 76 (+4) to jump up 10 spots and finish in a tie for 22nd place.
Meg Yoshida finished three spots of her finish on day one after she carded a +7 (79) on the final 18 holes to finish the Classic in a tie for 29th place.
Amy Goddard and Alexia Egdahl rounded out the competitors for the Bobcats on the final day and they finished in 40th and 53rd place, respectively.
The Bobcats will return to the course on Saturday, October 19th as they open play at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

- Quinnipiac finished in a tie for 3rd place out of 11 teams with a two-day total of 927 (+63).
- Sophia Fujita had the best round of any Bobcat on the final day of the tournament (+1, 73).
- Galantini led the Bobcats with ten birdies, which was good for the most in the entire tournament field.
- Natalie Spiska tied for 6th overall with 32 pars.
- Quinnipiac's grouping tied for the overall lead with 26 birdies and was fifth overall with 136 pars.
