Bobcats Drop MAAC Opener at Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Quinnipiac baseball team opened its 2023 MAAC slate with a road loss at Rider, 11-3, Friday afternoon at Sonny Pitaro Field.
With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 6-12 overall on the season and 0-1 in the MAAC, while the Broncs improved to 14-7 and 1-0 in conference play on the 2023 campaign with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Broncs struck first for five runs over the first six innings of play to jump out to a 5-0 advantage over the Bobcats.
Trailing in the ninth, Quinnipiac plated three runs in the inning, but it wasn't enough as the Bobcats fell short, 11-3.

ON DECK
