LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Quinnipiac baseball team split its doubleheader series finale on the road against Rider, falling in game one 8-2, before bouncing back and taking game two 12-2, Sunday afternoon. Keegan O'Connor led the offense on the day, blasting two homers and driving in four RBIs between the two contests.

With the split, the Bobcats moved to 7-13 on the season and 1-2 in the MAAC, while the Broncs moved to 15-8 and 2-1 in MAAC play.

GAME ONE: RIDER 8, QU 2
The two sides played to a scoreless tie through the first two innings of play before the Broncs struck first for three runs in the bottom of the third. The Bobcats responded with a run of their own in the top of the fourth, as Sebastian Mueller launched a solo homer to center.

However, Rider responded with a run in the bottom of the inning to extend the lead to 4-1, before going on to win 8-2.

GAME TWO: QU 12, RIDER 2
Quinnipiac struck first in game two, taking its first lead of the weekend off an RBI single from Kyle Maves.

The Bobcats increased their lead to 4-0 in the second after Anthony Donofrio launched a three-run homer over the rightfield fence to put Quinnipiac ahead by four.

After extending the lead to 5-0, Rider responded with two runs in the fourth before Quinnipiac added three runs of its own in the fifth to increase the lead to 8-2.

Quinnipiac added to its lead with three runs in the eighth to push the lead to 11-2, starting with a solo homer from O'Connor to open the inning.

The Broncs were never able to recover as the Bobcats held on for the 12-2 victory.

NEWS AND NOTES

Sebastian Mueller and Keegan O'Connor led the offense in game one with a solo homer apiece
Anthony Donofrio led the offense with a homer, two stolen bases and three RBIs in game two
O'Connor tallied four hits, including a homer and added three RBIs and a stolen base in game two
Kevin Seitter (2-3) got the start in game two and earned the win after allowing two runs on six hits in 7.0 innings of work
Seitter struck out six batters in the outing
