FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac field hockey dropped a non-league matchup at Fairfield, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at University Field.

Emilia Massarelli and Eva Veldhorst both scored first-half goals for the Bobcats to give QU an early advantage.

Julianna Cappello and Stella Tegtmeier each chipped in with an assist for QU.

Q2 – (26:57) – Alex Senior scored Fairfield's first goal of the day to cut the deficit to just one.
Q2 – (27:22) – Frances Mirabile scored on an assist from Nora Amme, tying the game 2-2 just before halftime.
Q3 – (33:33) – Konni Hofmann scored 3:33 into the second half, giving Fairfield its first lead of the day.
Q3 – (37:29) – Carmel Van Dijk registered a goal of her own for the Stags – Fairfield's fourth consecutive score – making it 4-2.
Q4 – (58:09) – Madison Hoskins added Fairfield's fifth and final goal of the contest with under two minutes remaining in regulation.
