
Bobcats Lead QU Classic After First Two Rounds

Elyse Kim Leads Individual Standings
WALLINGFORD, Conn. – Quinnipiac golf finished the opening two rounds of the Quinnipiac Classic in first place among 12 teams with a score of 607 (+31). QU is 15 strokes ahead St. John's after the first 36 holes of play. The Bobcats will look to build on their momentum tomorrow in the final round of the tournament.
First year Elyse Kim continues her strong start to the season carding a 145 (71-74; +1) to hold the top spot after two rounds. Sophomore Aimee Uchida followed closely behind finishing with a 151 (77-74; +7) to sit in third place. Junior Leeyan Peralta tied for ninth after posting a score of 154 (76-78; +10).
First year Meg Yoshida and senior Elena Lopez rounded out the Bobcats' group tying for 13th and tying for 18th, respectively. Yoshida shot 157 (80-77; +13), while Lopez carded a 159 (80-79; +15).
The Bobcats had a "B" team compete as well with junior Mia Grzywinski leading the way. The junior tied for an 18th place finish, carding a 159 (82-77; +15). Senior Darby Lillibridge followed to tie for 37th with an opening two round score of 164 (+20) at the Farms Country Club.
Senior Amanda Tullie and sophomore Emily Luu rounded out Quinnipiac's competitors, tying for 49th and finishing in 63rd, respectively. Tully shot 170 (85-85; +26), while Luu shot an 84 (+12) in the first round before withdrawing from competition.
The Bobcats will play again tomorrow at the Farms Country Club before taking part in the Sacred Heart Invitational in Milford, Connecticut on October 17 and 18.
