PHILIPPI, West Virginia - The No. 4 ranked Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling his the road for the first time this weekend when it heads to West Virginia for a matchup with No. 8 Alderson Broaddus on Saturday, February 24 2018. The meet between the Battlers and the Bobcats is slated to start at 1:00 PM.

LAST MEET (BAYLOR 278.055 - QUINNIPIAC 282.930)
- The Bobcats tallied nine heat victories against the Bears
- Quinnipiac came out strong, tallying three wins in the Compulsory event.
- The Bobcats swept all three heats in the Toss event en route to a 29.35-29.10 victory in the Toss event to put the Bobcats within striking distance going into the final two events of the day.
- The Bobcats were led by Erin Redding (Farmington, Connecticut) and Jenna Adams (Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey)
- Redding appeared in 11 heats, striking for a team-high six victories for the blue and gold.
- Adams participated in 12 heats for Quinnipiac and scored five victories for the Bobcats.
- Allie Williams (Poughkeepsie, New york) was featured in six meets and scored victories in five of those heats, including two in the toss event.
- Abby Ziser (Pompton Plains, New Jersey) appeared in eight events for the Bobcats, scoring three victories.
- Alyssa O'Connor (Smithtown, New York) went 4-2 in six heats for Quinnipiac.
STORYLINES
- Adams was named the ECAC Acrobatics & Tumbling Athlete of the Week on Monday, February 19 2018. The honor comes after Adams had a dominant showing for the Bobcats in their first meet of the year.
- The Bobcats were selected fourth in the NCATA Preseason Poll with 232 total points in the poll behind Baylor, Oregon and Azuza Pacific.
- The Bobcats will be led by four senior captains this season, Jenna Adams (Egg Habor Township, New Jersey), Samantha Gormley (Howell, New Jersey), Alyssa O'Connor (Smithtown, New York) and Abby Ziser (Pompton Plains, New Jersey).
- Quinnipiac will look for return to the NCATA Semifinals for the third-straight year and the fifth time in program history this year.
- The NCATA National Championships will be held in Erie, Pennsylvania at Gannon University April 27-29.
- Quinnipiac is coming off a six-win 2017 season, where the Bobcats fell to eventual NCATA National Champion Baylor, 279.325-273.945, in the NCATA Semifinals.
- The Bobcats advanced to the NCATA Semifinals after a thrilling win against Alderson Broaddus that saw the Bobcats shake off a halftime deficit to win eight of the last nine heats and the Team event. Quinnipiac defeated Alderson Broaddus, 270.645-264.755
- Quinnipiac won two NCATA Individual National Championships last year.
- The Synchronized Toss team of Alyssa O'Connor, Samantha Gormley, Siobhan Robinson, Alexandra Williams, Jordan Sack ; Kelsey Rule, Jenna Adams, Allee Tallman, Noelle Brasier, Jenna Capristo won its second-straight NCATA Individual Championship.
- Kelsey Rule, Jenna Adams, Allee Tallman, Noelle Brasier, Jenna Capristo also won the Open Toss National Championship.
- The Bobcats also had two NCATA All-Americans last season in Kelsey Rule and Allee Tallman.
- Quinnipiac will have large shoes to fill as both Tallman and Rule graduated in 2017.
- Head coach Mary Ann Powers was named the ECAC Acrobatics & Tumbling League Co-Coach of the Year in 2017.
- Melanie Mancini (Waterbury, Connecticut) was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year
- Alyssa O'Connor (Smithtown, New York), Kelsey Rule (Kendall Park, New Jersey), Allee Tallman (Farmington, New York), Jenna Adams (Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey) and Noelle Brasier (Simi Valley, California) were named to the all-conference team.
