PHILIPPI, West Virginia - No. 4 Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling scored its first victory of the season when it defeated No. 8 Alderson Broaddus, 280.235-264.990 on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Rex Pyles Arena. The Bobcats are now 1-1 in 2018 after the victory and the Battlers fall to 0-2 with the loss.

Compulsory
The Bobcats started strong, winning three of the four heats in the Compulsory Event to give Quinnipiac the 38.20-37.10 lead after the opening event. Quinnipiac's Compulsory Event included a 9.90 in the Toss Heat competed by Alyssa O'Conor, Samantha Gormley, Jenna Adams, Allie Williams and Erin Redding.
Acro
The Bobcats continued their strong start when they won the Acro Event, 29.15-28.50. The Bobcats swept the event with three-straight victories, including a 9.85 in the 5-element Heat won by Carly Duval, Megan Hamel, Alexandria Barnes.
Pyramid
The Bobcats suffered their only event loss of the day when they dropped the pyramid event to the Battlers by the slim margin of 29.25-29.20. The Bobcats did pick up one heat victory in the event, winning the Inversion Pyramid Heat, 9.85-9.70.
Toss
The Bobcats rebounded after halftime to dominate the Toss Event. Quinnipiac dropped the first heat but finished the event strong with two heat victories, solidifying the 29.0-27.4 win the Toss Event.
Tumbling
The Bobcats took home six heat victories as they swept the Tumbling Event, 55.075-50.800. The Bobcats' highest score in the Tumbling Event came in the 6-Element Pass Heat, where Quinnipiac scored a 9.40 thanks to Osher.
Team
Quinnipiac dominated the Team Event, scoring a 99.61-91.94 victory over Alderson Broaddus.
