QU Women's Tennis Welcomes Siena For Senior Day on Sunday

SENIOR DAY
The Quinnipiac women's tennis team is back in action on Sunday, April 9, as the Bobcats welcome Siena to Hamden for senior day, with the festivities beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the match being played at 11:30 a.m.
THANK YOU SENIORS
The four seniors on the women's tennis team have been integral in the recent success of the program. The three seniors have lead the Bobcats to a 49-38 duel record and have never lost a duel against a MAAC opponent, going 30-0 in their four years against conference competition, as well as winning three straight MAAC championships.
LAST TIME VS. SIENA
The last time the Bobcats took on the Saints, Quinnipiac won 6-1 to finish its third straight undefeated regular season and became the outright MAAC Regular Season Champions.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Siena comes into the match undefeated with an impressive 14-0 record. Siena has rolled over MAAC competition, sweeping all conference foes, 7-0 in matchups.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Bobcats took the court, Quinnipiac women's tennis freshman Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) won the clinching match in a Bobcats' 4-3 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday, April 5. Sitilia Rencheli (Sarasota, Florida) and Rodriguez both earned two wins on the day.
KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE
After defeating Niagara on Saturday, Feb. 18, including MAAC Tournament matches, the Bobcats are now 30-0 in matches against MAAC opponents since joining the new league coming from the Northeast Conference.
MAAC MONSTERS
In the Bobcats' three MAAC dual matches, they have gone 26-1 in competition. The team has posted a 17-1 record in singles play against MAAC opponents and a 9-0 record in doubles competition.
DOMINANT DUOS
The Bobcats own a 64-26 (.711) record in doubles play this season. The duo of Rachel Horton (Stamford, Connecticut) and Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) leads the team in wins with 20. However, the team of Rodriguez and Rencheli sit in second with 12 wins.
CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING
Of the 16 different doubles combinations that head coach Paula Miller has used this season, 13 of those duos have winning records.
ALL THEY DO IS WIN
As the team heads into the match, Young leads the team in overall wins with 34, while Horton sits in second with 31 wins and Rodriguez is in third with 30 wins.
JOIN THE 10 CLUB
Quinnipiac has four players that have reached at least 10 singles wins on the season already. Young leads the team with 13 singles wins, but Rodriguez narrowly trails with 12 victories. Jennifer Lu (Cypress, California) and Horton complete the group with 11 wins apiece.
