The Quinnipiac University acrobatics & tumbling team will travel to Azusa, California to compete in the 2017 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championships hosted by Asuza Pacific University on Apr. 27-29, 2017. The No. 3 seeded Bobcats open competition with a NCATA Quarterfinals match against No. 6 Alderson Broaddus on Thursday, Apr. 27 at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time/1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Win and Advance
Should Quinnipiac defeat Alderson Broaddus, the Bobcats would advance to the NCATA Semifinals on Friday, Apr. 28. The NCATA Individual Event Finals will be held on Saturday, Apr. 29 at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST.

2016-17 Season Review
Quinnipiac cemented its status as the sixth-seed in the NCATA Championships after a finishing the regular season on a five-match win streak. The Bobcats shrugged off early-season losses to Baylor and Oregon before wrattling off wins against Alderson Broaddus, King Univ., Glenville State, Fairmont State and Gannon University.
Bobcats' Weekly Honors
Jenna Adams, Abby Ziser and Allee Tallman all earned weekly honors, with Adams winning ECAC Athlete of the Week on Feb. 20, Ziser earning NCATA Athlete of the Week honors on Mar. 22 and Tallman being named ECAC Athlete of the Week on Mar. 27.

Bobcats vs Alderson Broaddus
- Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling shook-off a first-half deficit to come-from-behind and defeat Alderson Broaddus, 280.620 – 277.010 on Mar. 16, 2017 for its first win of the season.
- The Battlers took the first three events of the meet to head into halftime with a 96.30-94.90 lead.
- Coming out of the break, Quinnipiac dominated the action as they took both the Toss Event (28.70-28.40) and the Tumbling event (55.750-52.650) while winning eight of the nine heats across the two events. The Tumbling event featured season-high scores in the 6 Element Pass (9.83) and the Open Pass (9.88).
- The difference in the meet came in the Team event that Quinnipiac won, 101.27-99.66. Through its first two meets, Quinnipiac had struggled in the Team event, averaging 93.29, through two competitions. The Bobcats' 101.27 was a season-best while the start value differential (7.10) was its lowest of the season.
