The Quinnipiac women's tennis team is in the state of Florida for spring break this week where they will play five matches over four days this week against schools from various parts of the world.
All-Time Series vs. Bucknell
The Bobcats and Bison have played six matches against each other in the program histories, with each team holding a 3-3 record in their competition. The teams most recently faced off on March 15, 2012 with the Bobcats winning, 5-2, to snap a stretch of two straight losses.
Scouting the Bison
Bucknell comes into the Florida trip with a 3-2 record, including a win against Niagara on Feb. 27. Most recently, the Bison fell to Delaware on March 5 to snap a three-match winning streak. Maria Cioffi has been one of the top Bison for the season with a 12-4 record in singles play, including 3-2 in five dual matches. Lisa Jouravleva is second on the team with a 9-6 record while Lauren Fishbein is 8-2. Cioffi and Michele Urbinati are 7-1 in doubles play, including 4-1 at No. 1 doubles while Fishbein and Jouravleva are also 7-1 and 5-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Former opponents in the Northeast Conference, Quinnipiac comes in with a 4-5 record in nine matches. Fairleigh Dickinson has won the last four matches with the most recent match coming in the NEC Tournament on April 21, 2013 in the Bobcats final match in the NEC. The Knights won, 4-3. Quinnipiac's last win against the Knights came on Apr. 17, 2011 with the Bobcats winning, 4-3.
Scouting the Knights
Fairleigh Dickinson is 2-1 this season after taking two straight matches against Saint Peter's and Northern Iowa. Shreya Pasricha leads the team with five wins in singles play, one of two players on the team with a .500 record. In doubles play, Gisela Castany and Katarina Pavlovic have five wins while Pasricha and Alex Bryant are 4-1.

Scouting the Nighthawks
North Georgia is 9-3 this season, including 2-3 in Peach Belt Conference play. The Nighthawks have won two straight matches, including a win over nationally-ranked No. 32 Wayne State. Kathrin Waidner leads the team with a 9-3 record, including an 8-3 mark at No. 1 singles. Karina Gurgenyan is second on the team with an 8-4 record and 7-4 mark at no. 2 singles. Gurgenyan and Sandra Ungricht are 9-3 in doubles play while the team as a whole is 26-10 in doubles play.
All-Time vs. Northern Iowa
Quinnipiac is 0-1 all-time against Northern Illinois with a 5-2 loss in their only previous match on March 12, 2011 when they met on a spring break trip.
Scouting the Panthers
The Panthers have struggled this season, posting a 1-9 record with their only win coming against Gustavus Adolphus on February 13. Gisela Kemper leads the team with a 13-6 record while Elvira Lopez and Sydney Wolfe have 11 wins and Jieke Stroobant has 10 wins. In doubles play, Lopez and Stroobant are 12-9 with a 4-5 mark in No. 1 singles. Kemper and Wolfe are the only other duo with a winning record, going 8-4.
All-Time vs. Fordham
The Bobcats and Rams have played 10 matches all-time, with Quinnipiac holding a 6-4 record. Despite the 6-4 record, Fordham has won the last three matches. Last season, the Bobcats and Rams played a highly contested matchup with the Rams edging the Bobcats, 4-3. Quinnipiac took the doubles point in the match followed by singles wins from Jacqueline Raynor and Michelle Dassa. Quinnipiac's last win against Fordham came on Feb. 19, 2011 with a 6-1 win.

Fordham is 4-2 this season and have won two straight matches against Binghamton and Marist. Mayu Sato is 12-4 this season while Estelle Wong is tied for second on the team with eight wins with Hannah Drayton and Destiny Grunin. Drayton and Sato are 8-2 in doubles play while Whitney Weisberg and Wong are 5-0.
Last Weekend vs. Army West Point
Quinnipiac nearly pulled off the upset against Army West Point last weekend, falling 4-3 with the winning point not secured until the final match of the afternoon. Quinnipiac lost the doubles point but won three matches in singles to come close to the upset win.
Tim Horton's
Rachel Horton picked up one win for the Bobcats against the Black Knights last weekend. Horton's win at No. 2 singles was her team-leading 26th win of the season as Horton continues to shine as one of the top Bobcats.
Returning Home
Sitilia Rencheli continued her impressive start to the spring season with a win at No. 3 singles as she improved to 7-5. Rencheli has won at least one match in every match the Bobcats have played this spring.
Young, Wild and Free
Sydney Young picked up her first win of the season against the Army West Point Black Knights as she competed at No. 6 singles for the Bobcats. Young had not picked up a win since clinching the MAAC Championship in the 2014-15 season for the Bobcats. Young now has 82 career victories as she looks to join the 100-win club.
What's On Tap
After returning from Florida, Quinnipiac will travel to Bryant on March 30 to face the Bulldogs at 3:30 PM in their first match in New England. Following the match at Bryant, Quinnipiac will kick off a string of five straight home matches at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
