AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2016-17:
- Competed in the 60m, 200m and 400m dash events
- Shined at the New England Championships (2/24) where she claimed sixth place in the 60m (7.83) and sixth in the 200m (25.23)
- Picked up a pair of Top 10 results in the 200m (7th, 26.05 seconds) and 400m (6th, 58.96) at the Yale Season Opener (12/10)
- Placed 21st out of 66 in the 60m (7.99) and 37th out of 158 in the 200m (25.63) at the Terrier Invitational (1/27)
- Earned second places finishes in both the 60m (7.86) and 200m (25.61) at the Giegengack Invitational (2/3)
- Took 28th out of 95 in the 60m (7.98) and 43rd out of 212 in the 200m (25.78) at the Valentine Invitational (2/10)
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2015-16:
- Established herself as one of the top sprinters on the team and placed in her first MAAC Championship appearance
- Opened the season with a second place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.48 at the Yale Season Opener (12/5)
- Also scored a third place finish at the Yale Season Opener (12/5) in the 60m with a time of 7.79
- Picked up the victory in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:51.97 at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (12/11)
- Earned a fourth place finish in the 60m as she clocked in at 7.86 in the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (12/11)
- Placed seventh overall in the 60m (7.86) and 18th in the 200m (26.31) at the MAAC Championships (2/21)
BEFORE QUINNIPIAC:
- Starred locally in Connecticut at New London High School
- Was one of CT's premier sprinters all throughout high school, never finishing outside the Top 5 overall in all appearances in the 55m dash and 300m
- All-New England sprinter for the indoor and outdoor season
- Swept all three sprint events at the CT Class M state championship in the 100m, 200m and 400m in her junior season

PERSONAL:
- Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti
- Daughter of Mosta Nelson and Jean Jacque
- Has two older siblings, Francky and Carine
- Speaks English and French Creole
- Entered the United States starting in her high school years
- Skipped two grades previously growing up in Haiti
- Came to the USA with her sister Carine to live with their father following a life-altering earthquake in 2010 that destroyed the family home in a section of Port-au-Prince, Haiti
- After remaining in Haiti for over a year after Francine first came to America, her mother Mosta and brother Francky have successfully received visas and allowed access to enter into the country
- Following the earthquake, which struck on Jan. 12, 2010, when Francine was just 12, she and her immediate family went to live with relatives about five hours away
- It took them days to get there, sometimes walking, part of the time spent on overcrowded buses
- Their own house collapsed in the earthquake, which registered a 7.0 on a Richter scale and killed nearly a quarter of a million people
