Sat out the 2013-14 season after transferring to Quinnipiac from the University of Massachusetts … As a freshman at UMass in 2012-13, he had two goals and four assists in 30 games … Earned Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors on Dec. 3, 2012 after a one-goal, two-assist performance in a 6-3 win against Northeastern on Dec. 1 … Prior to playing for the Minutemen, he suited up for the Boston Junior Bruins of the Eastern Junior Hockey League … As the team’s captain in 2011-12, he ranked third in the EJHL with 77 points, while his 30 goals ranked third among the league’s leaders … Also tallied 47 assists in 43 games played that season … In 2010-11, he was the EJHL’s Rookie of the Year after scoring 26 goals and assisting on 31 more for 57 points in 44 games played.
