Lavelle, O'Sullivan Post Second Place Finishes to Highlight Flagship Season Opener

AMHERST, Mass. — Claire O'Sullivan and Sydney Lavelle both posted runner-up finishes to highlight the Quinnipiac women's track and field program at the UMass Flagship Season Opener.

O'Sullivan posted her runner-up spot in the 800-meter, clocking in at 2:18.15, while Lavelle finished the 400 hurdles in 1:05.21.

Three Bobcats finished in the top six of that event, with Sadie Souls (1:09.15) and Emma Byrne (1:10.43) slotting fourth and sixth.

Isabel Wheeler and Kiera Baxter also posted top five finishes in the long jump with Wheeler (5.37m) finishing fourth and Baxter (5.32m) finishing fifth.
