Galantini Leads Bobcats After Opening Day of Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, NJ. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team placed second (+43) after day one of the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Sophomore Samantha Galantini leads the Bobcats as she shot a 151 (+9) on day one of the Invitational, finishing in a tie for seventh place. Galantini shot a 76 (+5) in the first round and a 75 (+4) in the second round.
Sophia Fujita sits in a tie for 15th place after carding a 154 (+11) after 36 holes. Fujita shot a 74 (+3) to start her day before finishing the final 18 holes with a score of 79 (+8).
Marisa Flores and Fuge Zhang tied for 24th place recording a two-round total of 154 (+13). Flores shot par three times while Zhahg shot par five times.
First-year Vaidehi Shah rounded out for the Bobcats 158 (+16) tying for 37th. Shah led the Bobcats in birdies with four birdies.
The Bobcats will return to the course on Sunday, April. 6, as they play on day two of the Rutgers Invitational.
