Women's Golf Closes Out Rutgers Invitational With 4th Place Finish

PISCATAWAY, NJ. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team finished the Rutgers Invitational with a team score of 915 (+63), putting them in fourth place among 17 teams.
Senior Fuge Zhang and first-year Sophia Fujita led the Bobcats, tying for 14th place with a final score of 228 (+15). Zhang had her best round on the final day of the Invitational as she shot a 73 (+2) to push her up nine spots on the final day. Fujita carded a 74 (+4) in the final round as she dropped one spot to finish in a tie for 14th place.
Sophomore Samantha Galantini came in a tie for 25th place recording a three-round total of 231 (+18) in the Invitational.
Vaidehi Shah and Marisa Flores tied for 35th place (234, +21), rounding out the Bobcats grouping. Shah carded a 76 (+5) and Flores shot a 79 (+8) on the final day of competition.
The Quinnipiac Women's golf team will be back in action as they compete in the MAAC Championships from April 17 to 19 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
