Bobcats Drop Both Both Games on Day Two of Blue Hen Invitational

NEWARK, Del. – The Quinnipiac softball team fell in both of its games at the Blue Hen Invitational this afternoon at the Delaware Softball Complex.
In game one, QU scored runs in the first and second innings to take a 2-0 lead before Syracuse got one back in the third. Jaelyn Gonzalez took the two-run lead back singling to score Sofia Vega. Syracuse would walk off in the bottom of the seventh inning.
In game two, the hosts Delaware took an early lead in the first inning. Mary Fogg tripled to left field to score Noelle Reid to knot the game at one. Delaware added runs in the fourth and sixth inning to take the lead back and hold on to win.

- Sofia Vega hit her fifth double of the season, leading the Bobcats.
- Natalia Apatiga stole her first base of the season.
- Mary Fogg hit her second triple of the season, surpassing her career high.
