3 Bobcats Named to All-MAAC Teams

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac Softball had both Sydney Horan and Mary Fogg named to the All-MAAC Second Team this morning, as announced by the league office. Madison Waltke was also named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
In QU's best MAAC season since 2016, winning 14 games and making the MAAC Tournament, they have named the most Bobcats to All-MAAC teams since having four All-MAAC selections in 2018.
Sydney Horan earned her second All-MAAC nod after being named to the All-Rookie team in 2022. She appeared in 23 of 25 conference games, posting a 2.61 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Horan passed the 100-strikeout milestone for the second time in her career in a single season, while also passing the career 400-strikeout mark. Horan finished second in the MAAC in strikeouts during conference play, and the most wins of any pitcher at 14. Overall, Horan leads the country in complete games and is second nationally in innings pitched, carrying the load for QU in the circle.
Mary Fogg also earned her second All-MAAC selection, after being named All-MAAC First Team and Rookie Team in 2023, despite only playing in 18 conference games. She finished with a .344 batting average and .811 OPS in conference play with 21 total hits, second on the Bobcats. She also scored 14 runs in MAAC play, the most by any Bobcat. Overall, Fogg finished the season with 40 total hits with seven extra-base hits and lead QU with nine multi-hit games. The junior also had the longest hitting streak of any Bobcat this season at nine.

Waltke finished conference play with the fourth best batting average on QU at .302 and the team-best OPS at .888. She played in 23 of 25 conference games, recording 14 RBIs, the second most on the Bobcats. Waltke also homered twice, the most by a Bobcat rookie in a single season since Kayla Thomas in 2021. Waltke also had the second longest hitting streak on QU this season at seven games.
QU also had a MAAC-high 17 players named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, awarded to those student-athletes who complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
