No. 9 Quinnipiac Throttles No. 12 Boston University

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 9/10 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program rolled past No. 12/13 Boston University on Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out M&T Bank Arena.
The Bobcats started strong with three goals in the first 20 minutes, as Mason Marcellus, Victor Czerneckianair and Nate Tivey.
After BU scored shorthanded, the Bobcats' ripped off a pair of goals in 69 seconds, courtesy of Antonin Verreault and Ethan Wyttenbach to take control and make it a 5-1 contest.
Matej Marinov got the start in net, making 31 saves for the Bobcats.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats resume ECAC play on Friday and Saturday, hosting Clarkson and St. Lawrence for a pair of conference contests.
Puck drops are slated for 7 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN+.

- Marcellus and Verreault finished the night with three points, tied for the most by a Bobcat skater this season.
- Nate Tivey potted his first collegiate goal, the game-winner for the Bobcats.
- Quinnipiac finished with season-bests in assists (11), shots on goal (49) and saves (31).
- The 49 shots on goal are the most since the Bobcats put 50 on Brown on Nov. 10, 2023.
- Marinov's 31 saves are the highest by a Quinnipiac netminder this season.
- Wyttenbach finished with his third, multi-point game totaling a goal and assist on the night.
- Pelosi matched his collegiate best with two assists and has a new season high in that department.
- Will Gilson finished with a pair of assists, his highest mark of the campaign.
- Antonin Verreault's three points are a new collegiate best, as are his two assists. He now has 11 points in his first 12 collegiate games.
