Pelosi Scores OT Winner as Bobcats Ring in 2025 with Win
1/1/2025 11:26:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey
HAMDEN, Conn. — First year forward Chris Pelosi scored 3:05 into overtime, and the No. 17/18 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program knocked off Harvard 3-2 to ring in the New Year with a win and extend the Bobcats' win streak to four.
The Sewell, N.J., native finished off a sequence in front started by a shot from Aaron Bohlinger in the slot that caused a loose puck and flying bodies in front and Pelosi capitalized to earn the Bobcats the extra point.
Quinnipiac jumped out fast again, scoring the game's first two goals in the opening 20 minutes, courtesy of Travis Treloar and Victor Czerneckianair. Treloar's came in the first 63 seconds finishing off a rush off a back feed from Aaron Schwartz.
Czerneckianair capitalized on a rebound in front, tapping home a padded save off the stick of Tyler Borgula to give Quinnipiac the 2-0 lead.
Harvard would score its two in the second at the 1:35 and 18:52 marks of the frame before the teams played to a scoreless third period.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats head back home for five of their next six, starting Saturday afternoon with a regular season tilt against Northeastern.
Puck drop is slated for 4 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
