QU Wins MAAC Opener, Improves to 5-0

BUFFALO, NY – Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse won its fifth consecutive contest on Saturday afternoon at Canisius, as the Bobcats toppled the Golden Griffs 14-7 in the MAAC opener.
QU scored seven times in each half during the win.
Dylan Donnery led the way with four goals, as six different Bobcats tallied a score in the victory. Evan Perry and Jake Tellers each chipped in with three goals and a helper.
Mason Oak – the nation's leader in saves per game – made 16 more stops in the victory. He allowed just seven goals on 45 total Canisius shot attempts.
The Bobcats move to 5-0 to begin the 2024 campaign under Head Coach Mason Poli. The last time QU won four straight times to begin the year came in 2008.

NOTES
- Mason Oak made 16 more saves, allowing just seven goals on the road. Oak leads the country in saves per game (16.8).
- Dylan Donnery led the way with four goals. He has 16 goals (team-best) thus far in 2024.
- Evan Perry and Jake Tellers each added three goals and a helper. Both have nine points for the season, and it was the first three-goal effort of the year for both Perry and Tellers.
- John DeLucia added two more scores, stretching his season total to 14 through five matchups. He also scooped up four ground balls.
- Steven Germain and Ryan Donnery each scored once and added two assists.
- Max Pauwels won 12-of-25 battled in the faceoff x. He scooped up nine ground balls in the victory.
- Shots finished at 45-35 in favor of Canisius. 24 of QU's 35 shots were on goal.
- The Bobcats finished 17-for-20 in clear attempts.
- The Bobcats return to Hamden on Saturday, March 16, playing host to MAAC foe Wagner at 12:00 PM from the QU Lacrosse Stadium.
