
Peralta Takes Third Place at St. John's Invitational

HASTINGS-on-HUDSON, N.Y. – Quinnipiac women's golf wrapped up its spring regular season play at the St. John's Invitational, as the Bobcats finished in fifth place in a field of 11 at the tournament held at the Saint Andrew's Golf Club Tuesday afternoon.
Leeyen Peralta led Quinnipiac's grouping, tying for third place after shooting 145 (+3) to conclude play at the tournament.
Quinnipiac took fifth place after scoring 606 (+38) at the tournament, finishing 21 strokes ahead of the team that finished in sixth. Seton Hall took first place after shooting 593 (+25), while hosts St, John's narrowly finished in second after scoring 595 (+27).
Aimee Uchida climbed 17 spots in the final round to finish tied for 12th after scoring 152 (+10), while Kaylee Sakoda tied for 15th shooting 153 (+11).
Meg Yoshida finished tied for 21st, while Fuge Zhang took 45th to round out Quinnipiac's grouping. Yoshida carded a 156 to finish +14, while Zhang finished +24. Sandhya Vaikuntam rounded out Quinnipiac's grouping, scoring a +27.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, April 21, when they open play at the MAAC Tournament.
