NIAGARA, N.Y. — Niagara scored five of the six goals in the fourth quarter, as the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team fell to the Purple Eagles, 11-8, on Saturday morning.

The Bobcats started hot, scoring three of the first four in the opening quarter but Niagara would outscore their opponents 10-5 over the final three frames to earn its first MAAC victory. Quinnipiac is now 1-1 in league play.

Maddie Deegan and EllaGrace Delmond both scored a pair of goals, while Sophia Iaccino led the defensive charge with a pair of caused turnovers. Lauren Hayes scooped up a team-high four ground balls.

STATS AND NOTES

Hayes matched her career high in GBs with four on the day. She had that many on March 28, 2021 in a matchup at Manhattan.
Mia Delmond added her sixth multi-point game of the season, all of which that have come in the last seven.
EllaGrace Delmond added her second multi-goal game in her last three appearances and third overall on the year.
