3/8/2023 5:55:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse
WORCESTER, Mass. — It was the best start for the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team in 14 years, as the Bobcats raced out to an 11-0 lead to knock off Holy Cross 15-8 on Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 3-3 on the season.
The dominant start to the game was fueled by six different goalscorers, led by Desiree Kleberg potting a first-quarter hat trick. She would finish with four goals on the day.
Sophia Iaccino tallied a game-high five points, while Sophie Spencer, Emily Feeney and Mia Delmond all chipped in a pair of goals for the Bobcat offense.
Iaccino also led the way defensively, recording a pair of caused turnovers and scooping a pair of ground balls to go along with her six draw controls on the day.
