
4x100m Relay Team Breaks School Record, Bobcats Complete Competition at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - As the 126th running of the Penn Relays concluded, Quinnipiac finished the meet strong by breaking the school record in the 4x100m relay.
The team of Symone Foster, Kalli'ana Botelho, Britney Del Mundo and Aisha Gay recorded a time of 46.53, which broke the school record by .28 seconds. The Bobcats finished in third overall in the 4x100m relay finals.
Mikah Maples competed in the javelin throw, finishing in 11th place with a 43.84m mark.
Day 2 Recap:
The team of Symone Foster, Kalli'ana Botelho, Britney Del Mundo and Aisha Gay took ninth place in the 4x100m preliminary race with a time of 47.45. The Bobcats qualified for the finals, which will take place on Saturday, April 30 at 4:05 p.m.
In the 100m hurdle preliminary event, Foster tallied a time of 13.75, finishing in 12th place overall and recording a new career-best time. Her time was just short of a qualifying mark for the finals.
The team of Rylie Smith, Alyssa Romagnoli, Britney Del Mundo and Gay finished in 14th place (3:52.82), which was just short of qualifying for the finals.
Del Mundo also competed in the triple jump, finishing in 18th place with a 11.63m mark, which tied her career best.

Three Bobcats competed on the first day of competition at the 126th running of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. Emily Young and Liv DiStefano tallied career-best times in their respective events.
Emily Young took 24th place overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:28.62, which is a new career-best time. She took seventh place in her individual heat. Alessandra Zaffina placed 24th overall in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:51.38.
Liv DiStefano competed in the 5000m and finished in 30th place with a time of 16:53.03, which is a new career-best time.
