4 Bobcats Win Individual Events at Yale, QU Honors 16 Seniors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field celebrated the team's 16 seniors and had a stellar day of competition at the Yale Springtime Invitational on Sunday, May 1.
Twelve career-best marks were recorded on the track and the field today. Aisha Gay finished first in the 100m, Heather Feuchtenberger took first in the 800m, Kalli'ana Botelho placed first in the high jump, Mikah Maples won the shot put and the 4x400m relay team finished first to lead the Bobcats at Yale on Sunday.

Quinnipiac will travel to Rider for the 2022 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 7-8.

Aisha Gay finished first in the 100m, Heather Feuchtenberger took first in the 800m, Kalli'ana Botelho placed first in the high jump, Mikah Maples won the shot put and the 4x400m relay team finished first to lead the Bobcats at Yale on Sunday.

- Aisha Gay won the 100m dash with a time of 12.11, which is a career-best time. Hayden Robinson finished in fourth place with a time of 12.50, which is also a career-best time. Hailey Tolson finished in eighth place with a season-best time (13.03), and Zekiah Lewis finished in 11th (13.26). Camille Sweet took 13th place with a time of 13.34.
- Heather Feuchtenberger took first place in the 800m with a time of 2:12.70. Alyssa Romagnoli finished in third place with a time of 2:15.15. Amanda Carlson tallied a time of 2:17.10, finishing in sixth place and notching a career-best time. Christina Gunsalus tallied a season-best time of 2:19.94, finishing in seventh place. Brooke Hagen finished in eighth place with a time of 2:20.65. Jada Dennis placed 11th with a time of 2:26.93.
- In the 1500m, Shannon Goria led the team with a fourth-place finish, tallying a time of 4:50.28. Clare Veverka was not far behind in fifth place, recording a time of 4:50.77, which is a new personal-best time. Katie Bradley took seventh place (4:54.60). Cassidy Phillips tallied a time of 4:57.98, finishing in eighth place. Ana Caliri finished in 11th place with a time of 5:06.11, which is a personal-best time. Samantha Leal placed 13th with a time of 5:27.26.
- Asia Mercier took fifth place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:00.18, which is a new personal best. Eileen Donovan was right behind Mercier in sixth place, tallying a time of 1:03.46.
- Camille Blain tallied a fifth-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.97.
- In the 200m, Symone Foster led the team with a sixth-place finish (25.60). Rylie Smith placed seventh with a time of 25.68, which is a season-best time. Britney Del Mundo finished in ninth place with a career-best time of 26.05. Donovan finished in 13th place with a time of 28.24.
- Marisa Keiser led the Bobcats in the 3000m with a career-best time of 10:32.83. Grace Michaud took seventh place, tallying a season-best time of 10:44.01. Kate Gihorski finished in ninth place, notching a career-best time of 10:48.54, and Lydia Keys placed 11th (10:56.98). Madeleine Shellard took 12th place with a time of 11:40.80.
- The relay team of Gunsalus, Mercier, Dennis and Feutchenberger took first place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:06.70.
- Mikah Maples continued her stellar performances in the shot and took first place with a 13.76m throw, which is a career-best toss.
- Kalli'ana Botelho took first place in the long jump with a career-best mark of 5.74m. Britney Del Mundo also tallied a career-best mark of 5.56m leap, finishing in fourth place.
- Grace Davis took fourth place in the triple jump with a 11.04m leap, which is a career-best mark. Maples finished fifth with a 10.57m mark, which is also a career best.
- Amanda Minervino placed second in the javelin throw with a 33.06m mark. Davis placed fifth with a 25.66m mark, which is a career best. Camille Sweet took eighth place with a 15.66m mark.
- Davis placed fifth in the high jump (1.50m).
- Maples also tallied a sixth-place finish in the discus (37.79m).
Quinnipiac will travel to Rider for the 2022 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 7-8.
