Indoor Track & Field Records Highest Team Finish in Program History at ECAC Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team finished fifth overall as a team out of 39 programs at the 2022 ECAC Championships. The Bobcats' fifth place finish as a team is the highest in program history at the ECAC Championships. Quinnipiac previously finished 11th during the 2017-18 season.
The Bobcats had some stellar performances on the track and the field at the BU Track & Tennis Center. Senior Emily Young broke the school record in the 1 mile with a time of 4:47.85. Symone Foster, Aisha Gay, Kalli'ana Botelho and Liv DiStefano all tallied personal best times in their individual events.
UConn won the ECAC Championships with 93 points. Northeastern, Elon, Townson and Quinnipiac made up the remaining teams in the top five.

Bobcats on the Track | Results
- In the 60m hurdle finals, Foster took second place with a career-best time of 8.54.
- Young finished fourth overall in the 1 mile final with a school record time of 4:47.85.
- Aisha Gay tallied a career-best time of 54.78 in the 400m dash finals, finishing in fourth place.
- Senior Kalli'ana Botelho placed third in the 200m dash finals with a time of 24.32, which is a new personal-best time. Botelho had recorded a career-best time in the preliminary race and beat her time again in the finals. Gay took eighth place in the 200m finals with a time of 24.39.
- In the 3000m run, Liv DiStefano tallied a personal-best time of 9:45.16, finishing in 12th overall. Katie Bradley tallied a time of 10:44.14 in 31st place.
- The relay team of Clare Veverka, Eileen Donovan, Shannon Goria and Amanda Carlson took 12th place in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:14.99.
- In the 4x800m relay, Asia Mercier, Heather Feuchtenberger, Brooke Hagen and Emily Young took fifth overall with a time of 9:00.34.
- Foster, Gay, Britney Del Mundo and Rylie Smith finished in ninth place in the 4x400m finals with a time of 3:56.52.
- Del Mundo tied her personal-best mark in the triple jump with a 12.06m jump, tallying a seventh-place finish.
- Mikah Maples took third place in the shot put, recording a 13.86m toss.
