Bobcats Finish Second by 7 points in record-setting day at Indoor Championships
NEW YORK — The Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field program recorded a second-place finish in a tight meet at the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The Bobcats finished seven points off champions Rider in a championship that went down to the final relay.
Rylie Smith won the MAAC Indoor Track Performer of the Meet, finishing with three podium finishes including a pair of wins in the 400m and was part of a MAAC-meet, record-setting 4x400 relay.
Nyasia Dailey set a new school record in the 60m race, clocking in at 7.51 to earn the title of the MAAC's fastest woman for the second consecutive season.
Quinnipiac closed the meet by defeating a 25-year-old record in the relay, as Smith joined Sydney Lavelle, Izzie Anzaldo and Alyssa Romagnoli to end the meet right.

TOP 10 PERFORMANCES
- Both Dailey and Lavelle wrote themselves into the top 10 charts in the 60m, with Dailey taking over top spot and Lavelle clocking in sixth.
- Lavelle also jumped to fourth in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 8.85.
- Anzaldo ran her fastest 200m in prelims on Saturday, finishing in 24.35 which is good for fifth on the program list.
- Smith's 400m race was the fastest by a Bobcat in nine years, clocking in at 54.32. The time was good for second.
- Sierra Gray ran a 15-second personal-best in the 5k, finishing in 16:44.51 which catapulted her to fifth on the program charts.
- Isabel Wheeler marked 5.51m in the long jump on Saturday, tying her for 10th on the program all-time list.
- Lauren Fadairo hit a personal-best mark in the triple jump, hitting 11.68m to place her second in program history.
