Team Improves to 3-1 After Home Victory
Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team came out on top against the Boston University Terriers by a score of 13-12, on Saturday afternoon. First year Ellagrace Delmond recorded four goals and caused a key turnover to seal the game for the Bobcats. Junior goalkeeper Kat Henselder made 14 saves for the Bobcats in the victory.
Senior attack Sydney Skalstad recorded two goals on the afternoon to push her season total to eight. In total, eight Bobcats found the back of the net in the defeat.
First year Abby Wise score her first collegiate goal and picked up an assist to help lead the Bobcats to their third win of the season.

GAME SUMMARY
• The Terriers responded with two goals of their own only 1:05 apart.
• The Bobcats and Terriers went back and forth scoring two goals. Ellagrace Delmond and Sophie Spencer, on the advantage, gave the Bobcats a 3-2 lead.
• Just over a minute later, the Terriers regained the lead with a pair of goals from Kendall Sims and Matty Spaeth.
• Sophia Iaccino rounded out the scoring from the first quarter when she found the back of the net with 1:49 left in the first quarter.
• The Bobcats and Terriers were deadlocked at four after 15 minutes.
• The second quarter began with the Terriers scoring in pairs again. Kendall Sims and Matty Spaeth scored 38 seconds apart to give BU a two-goal lead.
• The Bobcats roared back with three goals of their own to round out the first half. Amy Nicoloff scored the first one to bring the Bobcats within one, before Delmond tallied the next two giving Quinnipiac the 7-6 lead.
• Sydney Skalstad opened the second half scoring and was followed up by a Liza Bailey goal to increase the lead to 9-6.
• Kendall Sims brought the Terriers withing two with 9:12 remaining in the third quarter.
• With 5:58 left, Skalstad tallied her second goal of the quarter, eighth of the season, to regain the three-goal lead.
• With just under a minute remaining in the third goal and down a man, Liza Bailey gave the Bobcats an 11-7 advantage.
• The Bobcats entered the final quarter leading the Terriers by 4.
• Lauren Kaye started the Terrier comeback when she ripped one into the back of the next 21 seconds into the fourth quarter.
• Abby Wise put the Terrier comeback on a brief hold, when she tallied her first career goal to extend the lead back to 4.
• The Terriers would not go down without a fight, scoring 4 goals within 3:12 to tie the game up. Lauren Kaye had 2, Kendall Sims added one of her own, and Kaelin Isaacson tied things up on the man-up.
• The first year Ellagrace Delmond ended all of the momentum that Boston University had when she ripped her fourth goal of the game with 8:45 to go. The Bobcats had the 13-12 lead.
• Goalie, Kat Henselder, and the Bobcats defense came up huge in the final eight minutes to hold onto the lead. Delmond forced a game sealing turnover with under 20 seconds to go and gave the Bobcats the 13-12 victory.
NOTES
• The Terriers outshot the Bobcats, 34-27.• Both teams were very efficient clearing their defensive zones as Quinnipiac went 19-25 on clears and Boston University went 12-13.
• The Bobcats forced 22 Terrier turnovers.
• The Bobcats controlled 6 draws compared to the Terriers' 22.
• The Bobcats got their first-ever victory over the Terriers in just their second matchup.
