NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team fell short in its midweek contest on the road against Yale, 19-7, Tuesday afternoon at George H.W. Bush '48 Field.

With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 4-12 on the season, while the Bulldogs improved to 8-6 on the campaign with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs struck first for two runs in the opening frame before QU responded with a run of its own courtesy of an RBI groundout from Kyle Maves to trim the deficit to 2-1 in the top of the third.

However, Yale responded with six runs in the bottom of the inning followed by two runs in the fourth to take a commanding 10-1 lead before going on to hold on for the 19-7 victory over QU.

Michael Kohn added a solo homer in the loss
Kohn's homer was his first of the season
Maves posted two doubles in the loss
