QUEENS, N.Y. – Led by Michael Kohn's four RBIs, the Quinnipiac baseball team downed BIG EAST foe St. John's on the road, 8-5, Friday afternoon at Jack Kai.

With the win the Bobcats improved to 5-12 on the season, while the Red Storm fell to 7-15 on the campaign with the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats struck first for three runs in second inning behind a three-run bomb to right field to give QU an early 3-0 lead. The Bobcats added a run the following inning after Ian Ostberg served an RBI single to left to score Anthony Donofrio to push the Bobcats' lead to 4-0.

Quinnipiac added two runs in the eighth to pull away 6-0. The Bobcats went up 5-0 off the bat of Sebastian Mueller. Mueller muscled a solo homer to dead center off an 0-0 pitch for his second homerun of the season. After Kohn followed with a single, Jared Zimbardo stepped to the plate and lined an RBI double to the left field corner to give Quinnipiac a 6-0 lead.

St. John's tallied four runs in the eighth, but Quinnipiac added two runs in the ninth to hold on for the 8-4 victory.
