RICHMOND, Va. – The Quinnipiac baseball team fell short in its series finale on the road against VCU, 17-6, Sunday afternoon at The Diamond.

With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 4-11 on the season, while the Rams improved 10-8 on the campaign with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
QU struck first for a run in the top of the second to jump out to a 1-0 lead behind a solo homer from Keegan O'Connor. However, the Rams responded with eight runs in the bottom of the frame and a run in the fourth to take a commanding 9-1 lead.

QU added two runs in the sixth before eventually falling short in the 17-6 loss at VCU
