Bobcats Take Down Syracuse, Advance to NCAA Regional Final

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 7/7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey defeated the Syracuse Orange 4-0 on Thursday night in the first game of the NCAA Tournament at the Columbus Regional. This was the team's first NCAA Tournament win in program history. Taylor House, Sadie Peart, Jess Schryver and Lexie Adzija all tallied goals in the win.
Quinnipiac will now face No. 1 Ohio State in the Columbus Regional Final on Saturday, March 12 at 5 p.m.
Head coach Cassandra Turner and assistant coaches Amanda Alessi and Brent Hill are earned their first NCAA Tournament victories as a coaching staff.

- (11:26, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Syracuse 0: The Bobcats got on the board in the second period with a goal from Taylor House. Ann-Frédérik Naud skate towards the goal and threw the puck on net, and Olivia Mobley got the rebound and had a shot of her own. House then got the following rebound and buried it home.
- (15:59, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Syracuse 0: Sadie Peart added a goal of her own later in the second period from Alexa Hoskin and Courtney Vorster.
- (2:15, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 3, Syracuse 0: Jess Schryver tipped in the Bobcats' third goal off a shot from Zoe Boyd early in the third period.
- (19:47, 3rd period, EN) – Quinnipiac 4, Syracuse 0: Lexie Adzija added an empty net goal late in the third to complete the 4-0 victory.
- Four different Bobcats scored in the win. Peart tallied her 14th goal of the year, and House notched her 15th. Peart has recorded four points in the last four games, and House has tallied six points in the last four games.
- Adzija and Schryver also lit the lamp in the win. Adzija and House also won 24 faceoffs together.
- Zoe Boyd and Olivia Mobley both recorded two assists. Naud, Vorster, Hoskin and Adzija also added helpers in the win.
- Adzija, Mobley and Boyd all notched a multi-point game.
- Corinne Schroeder made 16 saves in her 15th win of the season. She also recorded her sixth shutout of the year.
- The Bobcats out shot the Orange 30 to 16.
- Quinnipiac also won the face-off battle, winning 63% of the draws.
