NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team took second place overall, tying Rider with 140.5 points, at the 2022 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Monmouth took first place with 195 points. Senior Aisha Gay was named the MAAC Indoor Championships Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet.
Quinnipiac finished first place in every sprint event, including the 4x400m relay. Aisha Gay, Symone Foster, Kalli'ana Botelho, Mikah Maples, Emily Young and Britney Del Mundo led the Bobcats with numerous first, second and third place finishes. The 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams placed first and second, and Maples broke the school record in the shot put.
The Hawks took first place with 195 points, and Quinnipiac and Rider both tallied 140.5 points for second place.

- Symone Foster won her eighth individual 60m hurdle event this season with a career-best time of 8.58. Kalli'ana Botelho was not far behind in third place with a time of 8.70.
- Botelho bounced back quick and won the 60m dash final with a time of 7.79, which is a new career best. Britney Del Mundo finished in third place with a time of 7.85, which was also a career-best time. Foster took eighth place in the final with a time of 7.96.
- Aisha Gay took first place in the 400m final with a time of 55.62. First-year Rylie Smith finished in sixth place with a time of 59.80. Both times for Gay and Smith were career-bests.
- Gay continued her solid performance on the track with a first-place finish in the 200m with a time of 24.79. Foster took fourth place with a time of 25.60, which is a career-best time.
- In the 1 mile final, Emily Young took third place with a time of 4:52.55.
- Heather Feuchtenberger finished in seventh place in the 800m (2:17.59), and Asia Mercier was right behind in eighth place (2:20.57).
- In the 3000m, Liv DiStefano took fifth place with a time of 9:47.54. Mia Pestle finished in 10th place with a time of 10:05.23.
- The relay team of Young, Feuchtenger, Clare Veverka and Brooke Hagen took second place in the 4x800m relay, tallying a time of 9:10.20.
- In the 4x400m relay, Aisha Gay, Britney Del Mundo, Asia Mercier and Rylie Smith ran a fantastic race, specifically in the last two legs. Del Mundo came from behind in third to pass Saint Peter's and Monmouth and handed the baton to Gay. Gay gave the Bobcats a huge lead and took first place with a time of 3:56.15.
- Mikah Maples broke a school record in the shot put with a 14.31 toss. Maples took first place overall in the shot put.
- Britney Del Mundo took second place in the triple jump with a 11.69m mark. Zekiah Lewis, Camille Sweet and Olaitan Olagundoye took eight, ninth and tenth, respectively.
The Bobcats will compete at the ECAC Championships March 4-6 in Boston, Mass.
