Cooke and Van der Vliet Score to Push Bobcats Past Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn— Rebecca Cooke had another two-goal night in a 3-2 victory over the Fairfield Stags on Saturday, Oct. 1. Junior Emely van der Vliet tallied her first goal as a Bobcat when she tied the game up at two early in the second half at Lessing Field in Fairfield, Conn.
The Bobcats move to 4-0 in MAAC play, outscoring opponents 14-3 throughout the season. Cooke continued her offensive onslaught as she extended her goal-scoring streak to nine games. With her two goals today, she is tops in the nation in goals, surpassing Maddie Turlington (15) with 16 goals on the year.
