Women's Soccer Defeats Marist, Cooke Extends Point Streak

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—Quinnipiac women's soccer has extended its unbeaten streak to eight games with a 4-0 win over Marist on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Four Bobcats recorded goals on the night, including Rebecca Cooke who has scored at least one goal in the last 10 matchups.
Sofia Lospinoso secured the shutout and Kayla Mingachos, Lauren Triglione, and Morgan Cupo all tallied a goal against Marist.

- (78'—Quinnipiac 3, Marist 0): Morgan Cupo's goal late in the half with help from Emely van der Vliet gave Quinnipiac security in their lead, going up 3-0 on Marist.
- (87'—Quinnipiac 4, Marist 0): Rebecca Cooke sealed the Bobcat victory with a little over two minutes left in the game with her 17th of the season and brought her goal scoring streak to 10 games.
- Sofia Lospinoso recorded her third shutout of the season, making one save in tonight's contest.
- The Bobcats defense was on point tonight as they kept the Red Foxes to just one shot on goal.
- Cooke's goal scoring streak extends to 10 games with her goal in the 87th minute.
- Triglione and Cupo tallied their first goals of the season and Mingachos recorded her second.
- Cooke tied Maddie Turlington for total goals in the NCAA with 17 and is No. 1 in goals per game with 1.5.
- The Bobcats outshot Marist 13-1 and had 15 corners compared to the Red Foxes 3.
