Four Bobcats Record First-Place Finishes URI Coaches Tribute Meet

KINGSTON, R.I. - The Quinnipiac women's indoor track & field competed at URI's Coaches Tribute Meet on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Bobcats saw some great performances on the track and in the field.
Senior Symone Foster continued her stellar winning streak in the 60m hurdle event, tying her career best time and taking first place in the finals once again. Aisha Gay, Liv DiStefano and Kalli'ana Botelho also all took first place in the 200m dash, the 3000m run and the high jump, respectively.

- For the four-straight time competing this season, senior Symone Foster took first place in the 60m hurdle event, tallying a time of 8.60 in the finals, which ties her career best. Foster is undefeated this season in the 60m hurdle event and holds the best time in the MAAC.
- In the 60m dash, Aisha Gay tallied a time of 7.90 and finished in second place in the finals. Foster was not far behind in fourth place with a time of 7.94, which is .04 seconds off of her career-best time from last weekend.
- Gay took first place in the 200m dash with a time of 25.53. Britney Del Mundo finished in 10th place with a time of 26.67. First-year Avery Jordan finished in 20th place (27.54), and first-year Hailey Tolson notched a time of 27.58 in 21st place.
- In the 3000m, Liv DiStefano finished in first place with a time of 10:04.08. Grace Michaud finished in 12th in the same event (11:09.21).
- Alyssa Romagnoli finished in second place with a time of 57.94 in the 400m. First-year Rylie Smith took 15th place (1:02.68) in the same event. Camille Blain recorded a time of 1:04.68 in 19th place.
- Three Bobcats finished in the top ten of the 500m run. Heather Feuchtenberger finished in second (1:19.43), Asia Mercier took third place (1:21.00) and first-year Christina Gunsalus finished in eighth (1:25.36).
- In the 800m, Clare Veverka finished in eighth place with a time of 2:24.44, which is a career-best time.
- Emily Young tallied a time of 2:53.24, finishing in second place in the 1000m run. Young's time in the 1000m is a career best. Brooke Hagen was not far behind in fourth place with a time of 3:03.03. Mia Pestle took eighth place (3:05.66), Ana Caliri finished in 16th (3:16.12) and Cassidy Philips took 19th (3:20.02).
- Lydia Keys led the Bobcats in the 1 mile run, tallying a time of 5:25.17. Katie Bradley was right behind Keys in 10th place (5:26.58). Bradley's time is also a career best. Marisa Keiser took 12th place with a time of 5:29.37.
- In the 4x400m relay, the team of Eileen Donovan, Smith, Blain and Jordan notched a time of 4:16.80, taking sixth. The second team of Caliri, Feuchtenberger, Bradley and Mikah Maples finished in 10th place with a time of 4:26.14.
- The team of Veverka, Mercier, Hagen and Young placed first in the 4000m medley relay with a time of 12:21.59.
- Senior Kalli'ana Botelho took first place in the high jump with a 1.65m mark, which ties her season best. Grace Davis finished in 13th in the same event with a 1.50m mark.
- Botelho also led the Bobcats in the long jump with a seventh place finish, tallying a 5.33m mark. Britney Del Mundo took 10th place with a 5.06m jump. First-year Hailey Tolson finished in 20th place with a 4.64m jump.
- In the triple jump, Del Mundo tallied a ninth place finish with an 10.67m jump. Olagundoye finished in 12th place with a 10.06m jump. Grace Davis tallied a 16th place finish (9.56m), and Hannah Sumby took 17th (9.47m).
- Sumby also took 11th in the pole vault with a 2.90m mark.
- Graduate student Mikah Maples finished in third place in the shot put with a 12.74m throw. Maples also tallied a 13.38m toss in the weight throw, finishing in 12th place.
- The Bobcats will be back on the track Jan. 28 at the Great Dane Invitational on Staten Island, N.Y.
