Rider to Host Men and Women's Championships at the Michael P. Brady Track and Field Complex
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field team is set to compete at the 2021 MAAC Outdoor Championships this weekend. The first day of competition will take place on Saturday, May 8 and end on Sunday, May 9. This will be the first outdoor championship the team has competed in since May 2019.

Due to the volume of student-athletes, coaches, staff and officials in attendance, state and local COVID-19 social distancing guidelines in place and limited seating capacity at the venue, the decision has been reached that no spectators will be permitted to attend.
Last Time Out
The Bobcats most recently competed at Southern Connecticut State on April 30, taking first place of five teams. Graduate student Mikah Maples led the team with a strong performance in the field, notching three first place finishes in the shot put, discus and javelin events. The Bobcats had a team-high 12 first places finishes at Southern.
Bobcats' Top Times
In the MAAC's top times leaderboard, Quinnipiac holds numerous first place times and top three times. First-year Alyssa Romagnoli recorded a season-best time of 12.60 in the 100m, which is ranked third in the conference. Graduate student Meaghan Scullin holds the best time in the 400m this season (57.17). Junior Aisha Gay is ranked third in the 200m (25.62). In the 100m hurdles, juniors Symone Foster and Kalli'ana Botelho hold the first and second place spots with times of 14.10 and 14.65, respectively. Junior Caitlyn Halloran recorded a season-best time of 1:05.54 in the 400m hurdles, which is good for the third-best time in the conference. First-year Alessandra Zaffina tallied a time of 11:21.06 in the 3000m Steeplechase, which was good for the third-best time in the conference. Botelho also holds the top mark in the high jump (1.70m). Scullin recorded a mark of 5.76m in the long jump, which is the second-best in the conference. Senior Britney Del Mundo has notched the top time in the MAAC in the triple jump (11.63m). Maples has recorded the second-best time in the javelin in the conference with a 44.24m throw.
