Quinnipiac splits day with Holy Cross, Central Michigan
MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - The Quinnipiac softball team earned its first win of the 2020 season on the second day of The Spring Games. The Bobcats defeated the Holy Cross Crusaders, 1-0 (nine innings) and lost to Central Michigan, 8-0 (five innings) on Sunday, March 8.
Highlights vs Holy Cross (W, 1-0):
Ninth Inning - The teams traded bats for eight innings with no score. The Bobcats would score the game's only run in the ninth inning. First-years Sydney Tedim and Katherine Rodriguez were the heros for the Bobcats. Tedim moved to third base after a wild pitch by Holy Cross' Kelly Nelson.
